Amanda Mhlongo holds a B. Com (Economics), UWC and also a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (UKZN). She has Almost 14 years of involvement in planning, development, facilitation and execution of economic development initiatives and programmes including formation of strategic partnerships and relationships with various stakeholders.

She has a unique in-depth understanding of the balance between economic growth and economic development/ empowerment gained from programme management and leadership experience in this particular area, plus unwavering vision of institutional goals, to inspire cooperation and teamwork. She has excellent management and leadership skills. She has managed and coordinated a big staff complement while promoting self-directed work teams.
